Telephone Banking Advisor
I was in my last job for 30 years, working at a large manufacturing factory, starting in a technical role and progressing to a project manager. It turns out that I had lots of transferable skills, more than I thought I would.
I had heard that this Telephone Banking centre was a good place to work, plus that Lloyds TSB are a Multi-National company, I was impressed that Lloyds TSB are a big nationwide company.
My first few weeks were quite intense but also lots of fun. I started out as a part-time advisor and had six weeks training, followed by six weeks supported on-the-phone training.
I really enjoy the company of the people who work here, and the variety of work. Speaking to lots of different characters every day keeps the day interesting - I once took a call from a lady in New Zealand who was born close to where I was born, and she went on to tell me her life story!
There’s a really positive feel here and everyone shares the same objective – to be the best.
