What is the selection process?
You’ll be asked to meet essential criteria and complete an online questionnaire. If you meet this criteria, you’ll be asked to take part in a short telephone-based assessment. If you get through this successfully, we’ll ask you along to a final stage selection event. This will include a tour of the Telephone Banking Centre, an interview and a role ‘simulation’ exercise.

What are my working hours?
We have a range of full and part-time work patterns, depending upon the location. These work patterns may include evenings, weekends, public and Bank Holidays.

What happens if I have pre-booked holidays?
If your holiday is within the six week training period, then we’d normally start you on the next available course. Outside the training period we will honour your holiday, but we do ask for proof of booking or confirmation.

How many holidays do I get?
For full-time roles on sites that are closed on Bank Holidays, you’ll get 154 hours/22 days.
For full-time roles on sites that are open on Bank Holidays, you’ll get 210 hours/30 days.
If you work part-time, your holiday allowance will be worked out as a percentage of the full time equivalent, depending on your hours.
Your holiday allocation increases with your length of service.
We’ll agree all holidays depending on the availability at the time.

Is there a pension scheme?
Entry to the Bank’s pension scheme, provided you are age 25 plus. The scheme provides a range of valuable benefits, including life cover for your dependants. The Bank pays significant contributions on your behalf, and you pay 2% of salary. You can top-up your benefits by paying extra contributions, or by exercising the Pension Extra option under ‘Flavours’. Tax relief applies to all contributions to the pension scheme.
